Home Minister Ramesh Lekhakar Comments on Cooperative Scam Investigation, Warns Against Political Interference
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhakar has expressed concern over political interference in the ongoing investigation into the cooperative scam. Speaking during the inauguration of the newly constructed building of the District Administration Office in Rampur, Palpa, Minister Lekhakar criticized individuals from various political parties for making reckless statements that could influence the probe. He emphasized that no one, regardless of their political affiliation or stature, would be spared if found involved in criminal activities.
Minister Lekhakar's comments seemed directed at the leadership and activists of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rasp), who, according to him, have attempted to interfere with the investigation. He made it clear that the investigation would be impartial, stating, "There will be no distinction between big or small individuals in the investigation process. Anyone involved will be brought to justice."
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Congress-CPN-UML coalition government to eliminate corruption and establish good governance in the country.
In addition, Minister Lekhakar highlighted the government's dedication to maintaining peace and security, stressing that without these fundamental elements, development and progress in all sectors would be severely impacted.
